BAND STORAGE

Organize rehearsal recordings and reference tracks so you can find the right file when you need it.

Why band recordings get scattered

Studio takes, live recordings, demos, personal practice and reference songs can quickly produce many similarly named files. When they are spread across messaging apps, cloud storage and devices, even finding the latest version takes time.

A simple approach to organization

Use names or categories that identify the date, purpose and version as well as the song. Arrange playlists in rehearsal order to spend less time finding the next track during practice.

Back up important recordings separately

Whichever app you use, keep a separate backup of irreplaceable live recordings and finished audio instead of relying on a single device.
